20 Years Later, Anne Hathaway Picks Red Again For The Devil Wears Prada 2 Premiere
Actor Anne Hathaway makes a stunning appearance in a Louis Vuitton red strapless midi gown at the world premiere of Devil Wears Prada 2 in New York.
At the world premiere of Devil Wears Prada 2, actor Anne Hathaway joined the cast of the film, including Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci and Simone Ashley on the red carpet.
Looking radiant on the red carpet, Anne who plays Andy Sachs in the film, was styled in a custom Louis Vuitton silhouette realised in a vibrant shade of red. A bold move for a red-carpet look, we wonder if Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep, would approve of wearing red on a red carpet?
The corset-style voluminous midi dress crafted in silk added a hint of sheen to Anne’s monochrome look. Structured and opulent, the tailored bodice and voluminous pleated skirt brought couture drama to the world premiere.
Back in 2006, at the premiere of Devil Wears Prada, Anne Hathaway chose to wear red and looked stunning in doing so. The fluid red gown with cape sleeves featured a deep neckline and a minimal train. Simple yet timeless, Anne kept the red-carpet style simple and only added a few accessories to her monochrome look.
Stars Who Matched Anne Hathaway’s Red Carpet Style
Meryl Streep
Meryl Streel exuded diva magic on the red carpet in a voluminous cape-style red silhouette and paired it with black gloves. She sported black sunglasses and accessorized with a pair of statement earrings.
Emily Blunt
Emily chose to add to the red-carpet drama in texture and tulle. The embellished corset-style textured dress was styled with a ruffled tulle layered drape. Her avant-garde style stood out on the Devil Wears Prada 2 red carpet.
Simone Ashley
Dressed in custom Prada, Simone Ashley sashayed down the red carpet in a short dress with a train realised in an olive-green shade. The strapless fitted also came with two front pockets.
Stanley Tucci
Complementing Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway with panache on the red carpet was actor Stanley Tucci aka everyone’s favourite, Nigel. Looking dapper in a suit, Stanley kept it classic yet stylish at the world premiere.
