Designer Bhumika Sharma unveiled her latest collection, Afterglow, at Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI, with showstopper Tamannaah Bhatia bringing the collection to life on the runway.

Actor Tamannaah Bhatia made a glamorous appearance as Bhumika Sharma’s muse on Day 3 of Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI.

Celebrating fashion designer Bhumika Sharma’s latest collection, Afterglow, Tamannaah Bhatia closed the show in sculpted artistry. Tamannaah’s showstopper look featured the brand’s signature Royal Bloom print, brought to life through a structured corset paired with a printed fluid skirt enhanced with shimmer sequin detailing. Tamannaah’s runway look was completed with an intricately embroidered dupatta.

Tamannaah’s showstopper ensemble created depth, movement and a striking visual contrast that felt both nostalgic and modern. Tamannaah owned the runway with her stylish walk and set the tone for the summer festive and wedding season. The delicate interplay of print, embellishment and Sharma’s creative craftsmanship created a look that is both celebratory and refined, perfectly capturing the essence of Afterglow.

A coming together of two strong, dynamic women, the showcase captured the essence of romance, texture and modern femininity. Rooted in the brand’s signature design language, the collection reimagines traditional craft through a contemporary lens, creating pieces that are both heritage-rich and refreshingly current.

The deep red tone of Tamannaah’s ensemble complemented her understated glam, highlighted with flushed cheeks and soft, wavy hairstyle. Tamannaah channelled her love for jewellery with two statement necklaces from Tamannaah Fine Jewellery. Tamannah thanked Bhumika for giving her the opportunity to style herself in her brand’s jewellery for the show.

Bhumika Sharma’s iconic print vocabulary, Afterglow, brought together brocade-inspired Noorah motifs, vintage florals and abstract painterly patterns. Speaking on the collection, Bhumika says, “Afterglow is a true labour of love for me, a beautiful montage of emotions brought together through craft, colour and form. It is a celebration of romance, craft and modern femininity, designed to feel both personal and timeless.”

With Afterglow, Bhumika Sharma presented a collection designed for a new generation of women, those who honour tradition while embracing individuality, and who seek effortless luxury infused with meaning and artistry. Tamannah pointed out how she would love to wear the ensemble in more than one colour palette and asked Bhumika to make her one more in another shade.
