The IMC Ladies’ Wing turns 60 this year and the theme for the annual exhibition is ‘Bees and the Hive’.

There is a palpable buzz in the air as women across India bring their brands, dreams and stories to Mumbai. The 39th edition of the IMC Ladies’ Wing Women Entrepreneurs’ Exhibition 2026 has begun today, August 25, and will continue till August 26. The two-day event is taking place in the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.

As the IMC Ladies’ Wing turns 60 this year, the theme for the exhibition is ‘Bees and the Hive’. It captures the journey of the women’s body as they believe that, while one bee may start the journey, it is the collective strength of the hive that creates something

This year, the annual event sees over 300 women entrepreneurs take part in their one-of-a-kind exhibition. They are showcasing everything from designer wear, beauty, wellness products to food and more.

The inaugural ceremony took place on August 25 and saw celebrities like veteran actresses Shabana Azmi and Poonam Sinha, wife of actor Shatrughan Sinha. Director Karan Johar and Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Devendra Fadnavis, were the guests of honour. They joined Anita Chouhan – President, IMC Ladies’ Wing; Pallavi Sahney Sharma – Chairperson, WE 2026 Exhibition; and Juveca Panda Chheda – Co-Chairperson, WE 2026 Exhibition, along with the other committee members to light the inaugural lamp.

Director Karan Johar was the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony. Congratulating the team of women behind the exhibition, he said, “Congratulations on the Diamond Jubilee (60th anniversary) of the IMC Ladies Wing; that is a fantastic achievement. And as we gather under this illustrious tree, for me it always signifies growth. And that is what I see: the Ladies’ Wing started with 18 stores for their exhibition 39 years ago and now has over 300 exhibitors; it is a mammoth achievement. I have always believed that success and failure should kind of walk together. You shouldn’t ever get success to your head or get failure to your heart.”

Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Devendra Fadnavis, the chief minister of Maharashtra, was the Guest of Honour and graced the event with her presence. Speaking on this momentous occasion, she said, “This is one of the best platforms that India has ever seen, which gives a platform to women and their ideas, talent and dreams. There are over 300 brands on display today, and it is working on inclusion also with NGOs and people who really need this kind of platform to showcase their ideas. This is a great endeavour.”
